Skidabrader Surface Prep
An extremely powerful and productive machine that can tackle the most extensive surface preparation, renovation, and maintenance jobs. Skidabrader shot blasters are an environmentally sound choice for high-productivity surface preparation abrasion.
Where Can Shot Blasting Be Used?
Closed-circuit media blasting machines project a large volume of steel abrasive media at the surface via centrifugal force. The shot blaster recycles the media after the steel abrasive hits the surface. Dust and contaminants are removed by an air wash separator and directed to a dedicated dust collector. This makes the process dust-free. Blasting with steel shot is the most environmentally friendly abrasive blasting method because it uses no chemical products and avoids wasting valuable drinking water.

Economically Sound
Skidabrader shot blasting is cost-effective for skid resistance, preparing concrete and asphalt, and removing rubber markings, paint, and epoxy.
Environmentally Sound
Skidabrader shotblasting products are environmentally friendly. Our systems reduce pollutants at the job site, reduce noise, and allow multiple tasks to occur.

Tested And Approved
DOT highway approved. It is self-contained and designed for surface preparation
specialists working on jobs that require minimal downtime, such as airports, highways, and bridges.
Macro Texture
Macrotexture is the space or voids between the aggregate. An asphalt pavement surface’s texture depth, or macrotexture, allows water to drain away from the surface and significantly improves skid resistance in wet conditions. Shot blasting is a very cost-effective, environmentally friendly, and high-performance technology for reducing the danger of slippery highways and runways. It will remove rubber deposits and restore the aggregate’s original macrotexture.

Micro Texture
Microtexture is the fine component of surface texture formed by the tiny interstices on the surface of aggregate particles. It is the primary contributor to tire grip and skid resistance, particularly at low speeds. Microtexture is measured using PSV with the British Pendulum Tester or via mobile methods such as the Griptester or SCRIM. Shot blasting is the only technology capable of restoring Microtexture values to pavement
surfaces. Improving Microtexture through shot blasting is highly effective. In all cases, it will restore the full benefit of the PSV of the aggregate, preserving its original

Skidabrader™ Technologies saves time and money by extending the life of surfaces.
