Business Development Manager

At Skidabrader we utilize our world class, proprietary pavement texturing equipment to improve the safety and skid resistance of North America’s highways, bridges, and airport runways. We are currently looking for two (2) Regional Business Development Manager (NE U.S. & Canada or Midwest U.S.) with the ability to travel to various locations throughout their assigned territory to build and manage a portfolio of clients and prospects.  These roles will be based out of our Ft. Worth office.

The role you will play:

  • Responsible for development of the pipeline of opportunities to support growth in the Northeast U.S. and Canada or in the Midwest U.S.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with major target government client positioning Skidabrader as a strategic solutions provider for safety and skid resistance.

  • Perform market research (both online and offline) to identify potential business throughout the assigned territory by developing relationships with construction companies, transportation authorities, and state and local agencies.

  • Be an effective leader and communicator and have a background in/understanding of Government clients, DOT, general contractors, and higher-level management.

  • Prepare and present sales proposals and attend industry events.

  • Manage customer relationships over a multi-state region.

  • Develop and present product training presentation for customers. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university of college or equivalent work experience.

  • Results-driven self-starter with a high sense of urgency.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience business development or project management in construction equipment, concrete, asphalt, roads, or estimating.

  • Be able to read site plans and convey possible problems.

  • Knowledge of contracts and contract verbiage.

  • DOT and airport knowledge and research capabilities.

  • Knowledge of flexible and ridged pavements and aggregates for pavement mix designs.

  • Knowledge of AIRNAV website is a plus.

  • Knowledge of highway construction and maintenance methods and equipment is a plus.

  • Ability to travel 60-65% of the time to various locations throughout their assigned territory.  NE United States (Illinois to east coast) and Canada or Midwest U.S.

  • $80-90K base salary.  Pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary
