Location: Ft. Worth Texas

Compensation:

Base salary: Starting at $90,000 with full package benefits. Immediate availability preferred.

Summary:  Skidabrader Group LLC (Bard Capital portfolio company) is looking to hire an experienced Corporate Cost Controller with project controlling and job costing background in our new Headquarters located in Fort Worth, TX. As a Controller you will be an integral part of our company’s finance function. Responsible for project controlling and full cycle general accounting, managing of company’s financial information. You will report to the company’s President with dotted line to the portfolio CFO. As a Controller you will be the key financial leader who presents the company management with timely and accurate reporting related to project performance and serves as trusted advisor to portfolio CFO for the overall company performance. Experience with budgets and forecasts and dedicated to improvement and development and analytic dashboards. Able to coordinate with cross-functional departments to accomplish objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. PROJECT ACCOUNTING:

  • Work alongside COO to obtain project estimates, review contracts and detail project risk register

  • Maintain project budgets in NetSuite set up in adherence to the financial tracking matrix.

  • Oversee the daily performance of running projects using technology.

  • Lead the AP and expense process to ensure proper project job costing

  • Lead the AR and project invoicing process

  • Report project performance to the COO and operations team and assist in KPI tracking

  • Support regular financial reviews and analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine progress toward budgeted goals and objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with contracts

  • Recommend process improvements in the project lifecycle

 

 2. GENERAL CORPORATE ACCOUNTING:

  • Lead the month-end close process, including:

  • Prepare month-end closing entries, including relevant support

  • Prepare account and bank reconciliations, including supporting workpapers

  • Utilize Kanban tools to improve closing process

  • Tracks spend on asset maintenance and proper capitalization of capital expenditures in asset module

  • Work alongside procurement to track open purchase orders, min/max for consumables inventory

  • General accounting entries in compliance with GAAP

  • Revenue recognition for completed and POC contracts

  • Assist or lead certified payroll process

  • Budgeting and forecasting for the company

  • Work alongside the scheduling to translate resource loaded pipeline forecast to financial model

  • Maintain accuracy of analytic dashboards

  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly performance reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Required background in project job costing environment with minimum of 3 years’ experience

  • Experience using NetSuite preferred.

  • Demonstrated understanding of project lifecycle, budgeting and forecasting

  • Experience in budgeting and corporate forecasting

  • Preferred experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage calculations

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Incorta, etc.) to present dashboards

  • Expert level knowledge in Microsoft Office application (i.e., Excel) to prepare / supplement financial reporting,forecasts and analysis.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required, advanced degrees are preferred

Other:

On site in Fort Worth, TX. Ability to travel, as needed.
