EXPERIENCED ESTIMATOR FOR REPAIR OF ROADWAYS

Skidabrader Group, LLC is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator/Scheduler. Skidabrader is one of the world’s largest texturing and HFST treatment contracting operations, with proprietary equipment for providing friction enhancement on roads and runways. “We Save Lives” Our business is 90% within DOT road and bridge work, along runway texturing, line marking, and rubber removal. This professional will be responsible for estimating, budgeting, and scheduling projects in the texturing, rubber removal, line removal, and High Friction Surface Treatment markets. Duties will include takeoffs, pre-bid meetings, site evaluation, putting estimates together, addendum review and change order execution.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90k-110K plus job commissions

Commissions, first year expectations $30,000-$50,000+

• Work Closely with Business Development Managers and their customers.

• Work closely and coordinate with the project management team to problem solve any challenges, present solutions.

• Interact and communicate with engineers, directors, top general contractors & owners,

• Maintain relationships with Skidabrader’s national accounts and long term contracts

• Complete management of assigned projects, collecting daily reports, including close-out for both prime and sub-contract work.

• Review contract documents with in house consul for execution.

• Job cost and project management budgeting, review and control daily expenses.

• Work closely with Fleet Management and Scheduling team

• Travel to job sites as necessary

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 - 4 years of experience in project management or estimating in concrete, asphalt, road and bridge, runway, line stripping, or similar.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access.

• Proficiency in a take-off software and supporting documents.

• High-level problem-solving skills along with the ability to locate or potential problems and present multiple solutions.

• Strong work ethic and comfortable working within a team environment.

• Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and perform remotely when needed.
