EXPERIENCED HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 

Salary negotiable ($40-60k annual, bonuses, health and benefits)

At Skidabrader we utilize our world class specialized pavement texturing equipment to improve the safety and skid resistance of North America’s highways, bridges, and airport runways. We are currently looking for someone with heavy equipment operating experience to join our team traveling to various locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.   •  The position requires extensive travel to various locations throughout the United States and Canada.

  •  Must be able to pass a drug screening.

  •  Have extensive experience with operating heavy machinery.

  • Our candidates will be responsible for the safe transportation, operation, and maintenance of specialized pavement surface abrasion equipment.

  • Candidate will operate a variety of construction/maintenance type equipment in the light to heavy class for road care and construction.

  • The candidate will provide routine and manual labor work requiring heavy lifting on jobsites, during mobilization and demobilization, and will assist with cleaning and maintaining the equipment when not on jobsites.

  • Must be detail oriented and able to follow the direction of the lead/job foreman with regards to daily production schedule and activities

  • Must have the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form.

  • Must be able to safely uses tools and equipment. Follow OSHA/DOT Safety Standards.

  • Candidate should have the ability to make minor repairs, including welding, and performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

  • Knowledge of highway construction and maintenance methods and equipment is a plus.

  • Must be able to effectively communicating verbally and in writing.

  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.

  • Has your driving record been free of moving violations / avoidable accidents for the past 1 YEAR?

  • How many years of heavy equipment operation experience do you have?
